[India BIS] new mobile phone testing certification standard IS16333 (Part 3)

It is reported that the standard IS 16333 (Part 3) issued by Meity, India's electronic information technology department, to support the Indian language, will be enforced on July 1, 2017.

On the mobile phone testing and certification standards IS16333 (Part 3): 2016, the following implementation:
Registered manufacturer

1. For mobile phone manufacturers complying with IS 13252 (Part 1): 2010 standards, the following requirements are met:
To ensure that mobile products marked BIS logo;
Or self-declaration of mobile phone models conform to all IS 16333 (Part 3) requirements.
Note: It must be approved by BIS on or before June 30, 2017. Otherwise, it will be canceled on July 1, 2017.
2. In the registered model, the main model will be selected to verify the new IS 16333 (Part 3) compliance. Any new test report that complies with IS 16333 (Part 3) can not be used to demonstrate that the registered model also complies with IS 16333 (Part 3).
3. Cell phone manufacturers complying with the IS 13252 (Part 1): 2010 standard shall provide a statement that the registered model may be divided into multiple series depending on whether the software program used is the same. A model is extracted from each series for compliance testing of IS 16333 (Part 3) to determine the compliance of the entire series.
4. On or before June 30, 2017, the manufacturer has failed to complete the IS 16333 (Part 3) Compliance Verification, and its registered model will be canceled. If only part of the model conforms to the IS 16333 (Part 3) standard, the remaining non-compliant registered models will be removed from 1 July 2017.
Registered manufacturer (new model)
1. When registering a new model, the registered manufacturer must not only confirm whether the new model can be divided into the IS 16333 (Part 3) compliant series, 16333 (Part 3) does not make any design changes.
2. A new model registration application that complies with IS 13252 (Part 1) is still acceptable until 30 June 2017. All such models that have not been applied for or are not subject to BIS approval prior to this date are from 2017 July 1 will be removed from the registered model.
3. After June 30, 2017, all new models of registration applications are subject to both IS 13252 (Part 1) and IS 16333 (Part 3).

Application statement

1. Applicants who are only eligible for registration of IS 13252 (Part 1) are still accepted by June 30, 2017, and have not applied for or are not accepted by BIS until the date of this date. All such models have been accepted since 2017 July 1 will be removed from the registered model. If only part of the model conforms to the IS 16333 (Part 3) standard, the remaining non-compliant registered models will be removed from 1 July 2017.
2. The application for mobile registration after June 30, 2017 shall comply with both IS 13252 (Part 1) and IS 16333 (Part 3).
3. Standard mark

1. BIS provides mobile phone standard IS 13252 (Part1) / IEC 60950-1 must be reflected in the standard logo (BIS logo) above, while the registration number in the standard marked below.
2. The IS16333 (Part 3), which supports the Indian language, will be enforced on July 1, 2017, so that the registered manufacturer must, after obtaining the BIS approval, reflect the IS 13252 (Part 1) / IEC 60950-1 and IS 16333 (Part 3), the bottom must reflect the unique registration number.
